The Ram Janmabhoomi Temple is perhaps the most iconic site in Ayodhya, as it marks the birthplace of Lord Ram. The temple is currently being constructed, and devotees gather here to pay homage to Lord Ram and participate in religious activities. The significance of this site makes it a must-visit during any Ayodhya tour.

  2. Hanuman Garhi Temple
Situated on a hilltop, the Hanuman Garhi Temple is dedicated to Lord Hanuman, the devotee of Lord Ram. It is one of the most visited temples in Ayodhya. According to local beliefs, it is said that Lord Hanuman resided here to protect Ayodhya. Visitors often climb the 76 steps to reach the temple, where they offer prayers and enjoy panoramic views of the city.

  3. Kanak Bhawan
A grand temple dedicated to Lord Ram and his consort Sita, Kanak Bhawan is famous for its golden décor and the idols of Lord Ram and Sita dressed in royal attire. The temple is one of Ayodhya’s most visited sites and holds great spiritual significance.

  4. Sugriv's Palace
According to Hindu mythology, Sugriv, the king of monkeys and ally of Lord Ram, ruled from this palace. While much of the site has been reconstructed, it remains a key archaeological and historical landmark for those exploring Ayodhya’s ancient past.

  5. Nageshwarnath Temple
Dedicated to Lord Shiva, this ancient temple is a revered site in Ayodhya. It is believed that this temple was built by Lord Ram’s son, Lava, as a tribute to Lord Shiva. The temple is also associated with the spiritual and religious events that take place in the city.

  6. Saryu River
The Saryu River flows through Ayodhya and is considered sacred in Hinduism. Devotees come to the banks of the river to perform rituals, take holy dips, and offer prayers. A visit to the Saryu Aarti, held every evening, is an unforgettable experience. The spiritual energy during the aarti is both captivating and serene.

  7. Treta Ke Thakur Temple
This temple is believed to be the site where Lord Ram performed the famous ‘Ashwamedha Yagna’ (horse sacrifice). It is an important pilgrimage spot for devotees of Lord Ram and adds to the rich spiritual significance of Ayodhya.
